Day 11

I want to announce that I am currently off of my nausea pills and pain patch! While this may just be temporary, its a blessing that will make me able to drive short distances and of course signifies me being nausea and pain free! I'm still operating on low energy, but I feel like its getting better every day.

This week we'll be driving to M.D Anderson M/W/F to get 'labs', blood tests, drawn to make sure my body's holding up as well as I'm feeling. As far as my free time; I'm spending time researching, improving my daily routine, documenting all kinds of medical junk, getting in the word, doing stuff around the house, and getting after this blog.

Quick God Moment-
Saturday evening my immune system was very week and I had come down with a low grade fever. Things piled up and I ended up going to bed pretty late. My family and I prayed I would feel better and I sent up a few extra that I would be well enough to go to church today. As I woke up I checked my temp to see if the fever had gone. 98.1 F which is quite normal for me. Even though many people could see this as ordinary, I choose to see God in the details, even if they are small.
Just thought I'd share that with you, I went to Church and got recharged for the week ahead.

All Glory to God. Amen.

Day 4

Happy Valentines Day to All!

Sorry there is no time to send out valentines this year. Just playing, I've never had time to do that anyway.

Today has been pleasant. My Dad took me to MDA today for the first time. He doesn't know all the tricks like my mom, but thus far he's been good company. Really its been a good time after not seeing him for three weeks in Arizona.

Nothing really special happened, all my treatments are going well. Everything takes quite a while which is nice because we are never in a rush. Today we got here at 12:40 and will probably clock out at 8:30. Its been a long one, but I'm getting the stuff I need and I get free Internet while I'm at it, so I can't complain.

For those who are wondering, I'm still eating very nutritiously, mostly raw vegetables and fruit and little to no animal protein. This is advice I have taken from the center I came from in Arizona, as well as a number of 'health' books my mom read. If your interested, ask.

All Glory to God. Amen.

Day 1

Today was my first chemotherapy treatment at M.D. Anderson. I started with a pain management appointment where I was prescribed some breakthrough pain medication to use when necessary. We then headed to the the chemotherapy wing, where everything went according to plan. It took about 6 hours, and I actually came in with more pain than I left with. So far I have experience no side effects, and I had a great night sleep last night! Thank you Lord! The prayers are taking effect and I trust He is protecting my body from the harmful effects while providing all the benefits. All Glory to God. Amen.
