Apologies for the scattered posts. Really, I think I need to get better at this.
Anyways, I want to give a huge thank you to all those thinking and praying for me and my family... and... I've got wonderful news to announce: I have had better than expected results for my first two cycles! This means the tumor is shrinking and is somewhere between 20 and 30% smaller than when we started. Praise the Lord!
I'm still unsure about whether I'll be back to school in the Fall, but right now it's nothing to worry about. I'm taking it as an opportunity to grow in faith and patience, and 'while I'm waiting' I'll try my best to Psalm 37:4-6. I'm working through my 3rd round of chemotherapy right now and I've been blessed even more this cycle to have a bit more energy than usual, which I might need it to finish the bookshelf I've been working on (I'll post pictures). There has been so many other blessings I don't even know where to start. Let me just say, when I look back at what has gone on, The Lord has provided for me and my family, and I trust he will continue for the promises he has made.
All Glory To God. Amen

Day 35 (14)
Howdy Y'all,
I hope each and everyone of you reading this is having a great day, and if not, I hope this brightens it up a bit. : )
Right now, I'm really starting to feel like I'm getting some strength back. It's great, now I can do yard work for my Dad. No but really, yesterday my brother Ross and I were chopping down a tree in our yard, it felt really good to get some physical work done like old times. This new found strength has also got me interested in a few projects like: building my first bookshelf and restoring an old road bike; I can't wait!
In all that's going on I've also found a renewed peace and yearning for spiritual growth. After a friend asked if I would like to pray a rosary novena with her, I thought about all the different ways to pray, and how I have recently been a little monotonous with God. So we're praying a rosary novena, if you'd like to join I'm starting tonight. If you'd like to know what it is or how to pray it, check out the link: http://www.ewtn.com/Devotionals/prayers/rosary/.
In tracking my treatments, I'm finishing up my second round of chemotherapy and will have an MRI and a meeting with my Dr. on the 24th to discuss whats happened and a plan for the future. Please pray for healing and that the Lord's will may be done.
Take care folks, have a Blessed day!

Day 25 (4)
Hi Everyone,
Day 25 on my journey, day 4 of my second cycle. Things are looking really good, my tumor is shrinking! Praise the Lord. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
I'm pretty tired, but besides that I'm doing good. My mom wanted me to tell Y'all about our trips up and back from M.D. Anderson. We've actually have a pretty good time on our hour commutes listening to all kinds of seminars and talks provided by lighthouse ministries. I've listened to speakers like Mathew Kelly and Mother Teresa among others. So if you have a spare moment, or are planning a road trip, I'd recommend you look into some of their CD's.
All Glory to God. Amen.

Day 19
I'm nearing the end of my first cycle. On day 22 I will be back in M.D Anderson starting my next chemotherapy adventure. Thus far I am doing really well. Physically, mentally, and spiritually, I am in a good place. One clear event that inspired my current well being occurred this past weekend.
With news of improving blood work I took the opportunity to travel back up to College Station and visit with many of my friends, some I hadn't seen since December. This was truly an energizing experience. I hadn't even recognized I was stressed until it fell off my shoulders like a 30 pound sack as I slumped into the 'ol couch at the Rockyard and greeted my old friends at the Peach Cottage. Thank you Alan and Grady (so much) for hosting the get togethers, this has been the highlight of my blogging history. I also want to thank everyone who came and reminded me what good friends are for. Just being around you folks inspired me to approach the next round confidently and with more assurance than ever that I'll push through and be back soon! Thanks Again

Day 11
I want to announce that I am currently off of my nausea pills and pain patch! While this may just be temporary, its a blessing that will make me able to drive short distances and of course signifies me being nausea and pain free! I'm still operating on low energy, but I feel like its getting better every day.
This week we'll be driving to M.D Anderson M/W/F to get 'labs', blood tests, drawn to make sure my body's holding up as well as I'm feeling. As far as my free time; I'm spending time researching, improving my daily routine, documenting all kinds of medical junk, getting in the word, doing stuff around the house, and getting after this blog.
Quick God Moment-
Saturday evening my immune system was very week and I had come down with a low grade fever. Things piled up and I ended up going to bed pretty late. My family and I prayed I would feel better and I sent up a few extra that I would be well enough to go to church today. As I woke up I checked my temp to see if the fever had gone. 98.1 F which is quite normal for me. Even though many people could see this as ordinary, I choose to see God in the details, even if they are small.
Just thought I'd share that with you, I went to Church and got recharged for the week ahead.
All Glory to God. Amen.

Day 4
Happy Valentines Day to All!
Sorry there is no time to send out valentines this year. Just playing, I've never had time to do that anyway.
Today has been pleasant. My Dad took me to MDA today for the first time. He doesn't know all the tricks like my mom, but thus far he's been good company. Really its been a good time after not seeing him for three weeks in Arizona.
Nothing really special happened, all my treatments are going well. Everything takes quite a while which is nice because we are never in a rush. Today we got here at 12:40 and will probably clock out at 8:30. Its been a long one, but I'm getting the stuff I need and I get free Internet while I'm at it, so I can't complain.
For those who are wondering, I'm still eating very nutritiously, mostly raw vegetables and fruit and little to no animal protein. This is advice I have taken from the center I came from in Arizona, as well as a number of 'health' books my mom read. If your interested, ask.
All Glory to God. Amen.

Day 1
Today was my first chemotherapy treatment at M.D. Anderson. I started with a pain management appointment where I was prescribed some breakthrough pain medication to use when necessary. We then headed to the the chemotherapy wing, where everything went according to plan. It took about 6 hours, and I actually came in with more pain than I left with. So far I have experience no side effects, and I had a great night sleep last night! Thank you Lord! The prayers are taking effect and I trust He is protecting my body from the harmful effects while providing all the benefits. All Glory to God. Amen.
